Happy Birthday Abby!

Well, Abby's 2nd birthday started bright and early. It wasn't even bright, it was 6 a.m. Wow. Early!! Since Megan and Abby are roommates now, Abby is getting up earlier than she used to. Not usually this early though.
But, she awoke to a festive Elmo table and donuts ("doduts") for breakfast. She was thrilled with her Sesame Street balloon. I probably could have stopped with that. Little did she know things would get more exciting than her balloon.
She loves her Strawberry Shortcake nightgown. She wears it over any pajama that she wears.
Emmy is just thrilled to be part of the party.
Next, Abby had school. She loves her backpack and her little friends.
The birthday girl got to bring a treat to share with her friends. She brought Yogos. She loves Yogos!Passing out her treat to Nik.
This was as close as she'd get to her birthday crown.
She was not a fan.
After school she took a nap at Grandma and Grandpa's while Mom did her other preschool class. When Mark got home we opened presents!
She got a new doll and a baby bassinet.

Megan helps.
Next a gift from Emmy...
Books!! With Elmo, Cookie Monster, and Big Bird.
A gift from Meggie...
A microphone! It plays music and records your voice and you can play it back.
This was a favorite!
She loves it, and so does Megan.
Then, we had Grandma Carla and Grandpa Rick and Grandma Shar join us for dinner. We picked up food from the Mandarin.
It was so good!
After dinner we had more presents.
She got a fun Little People Set from Grandma Shar called "Animalville".
And she got super cute clothes from both sets of grandparents!
The Cinderella card was a hit. She loved the music and the flashing lights. Emmy and Megan help Abby open some gifts.
Abby loves to build things. She's our expert tower maker. My mom and dad bought her a huge box of bristle blocks. So fun!
Again, Emmy just happy to be part of the action.

Abby sits with Grandpa to blow out her candles. The "2" came with a musical candle (I realize it looks like 12).
She blew out the 2! (I think anyway, Maybe Megan helped. I was trying to balance the cake and snap pictures, so I kind of missed it, but she was trying!)
Chocolate cake! A great way to end her busy, busy 2nd birthday!
